4.PressureHab™ Atex Zone 1 Ssfe-Stop™ Modular Shut Down System
Upon detecting either a loss of pressure or the presence of any unwanted gases inside the enclosure, the ATEX Zone 1 Safe-Stop system will automatically shut down the hot work operations, while keeping the intake blower running in order to pressurize the Habitat and/or rapidly displace any gases detected inside. Only in the event that hazardous gases are detected in the feed to the PCU will the Safe-Stop system shut down both the hot work operations and the PCU.

WHY USE A PRESURISED ROOM?
Where flammables may be present, such as in areas that are rated as Zone 1 or Zone 2, hot work operations (such as welding, cutting, grinding and brazing) can be sources of ignition that need to be contained in a safe and controlled environment.
